A call to all Bay Area locals! The uniquely entertaining dark comedy horror short, “Unkind Cut,” directed by Marc Pitre and featuring an appearance by Rajiv Shah will screen on Saturday, December 9th, at 11:00 AM at San Francisco’s iconic 4-Star Theater for the 20th Annual Another Hole in the Head Film Festival. Both Pitre and Shah are expected to be in attendance.
Since its inception in 2004, the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival, affectionately known as “SF IndieFest,” has consistently served as a vibrant platform for independently-created horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and other offbeat genre films. The festival’s focus has always been on magnifying the voices of those unorthodox filmmakers who’ve chosen to step off the beaten path of traditional narrative and experimentation.
“Unkind Cut” blazes its own path in the horror-comedy genre. Beginning with what appears to be a routine vasectomy consultation, the story quickly spirals into a delightfully surreal romp involving eccentric doctors and a medical team with a less-than-conventional approach to their practice.
Conceived and directed by Marc G Pitre, this compact 14-minute short features an ensemble cast that includes Phillip Jeanmarie, Skinner Myers, Rajiv Shah, Lauren Campedelli, Lindsey Smith-Sands, Krista Owens, and Marilyn Holmes. The pic is lensed by Peter Soto and edited by Sharon A Mooney.
